Mid Atlantic Artist Registry
Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation (MAAF) is pleased to announce the launch of a new, on-line registry of artist fellowship winners from Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, U.S. Virgin Islands, Virginia, and West Virginia. Users have the opportunity to view video by dance, media, music and theatre artists; listen to audio from spoken word, media and music artists; read poetry, prose, plays, and other writings; and view a multitude of visual work samples from some of the finest artists in the mid-Atlantic region.
The registry includes Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award fellowship recipients from 1990 to date. The registry features artist profiles including: contact information, web presence, discipline(s), biography, news, fellowship and other awards received, selected work, and selected projects. The profiles also include visual/audio representations of artist work including images, video, audio, and PDF's of text for literary artists. It is fully searchable allowing the public user to find vetted artists quickly and easily by state, discipline, or name.
The service, free to both artists and public users and is made possible with support from the Delaware Division of the Arts, DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities, Maryland State Arts Council, New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, Virgin Islands Council on the Arts, Virginia Commission for the Arts, and the West Virginia Division of Culture and History.
